About the Role

The Zonal Sales Manager will drive Lafarge’s Route-to-Market strategy and lead trade marketing activities in the assigned territories. This role is critical in building strong customer relationships, boosting brand presence, and achieving long-term profitability.


Key Responsibilities

As the Zonal Sales Manager, you will:

  1. Implement Sales Strategy: Execute Route-to-Market strategies and trade marketing activities to grow Lafarge’s market share.
  2. Manage Distribution: Oversee distributors and retail trade while improving distribution channels to ensure seamless operations.
  3. Lead Sales Teams: Manage and motivate sales partners and third-party sales teams to meet territorial objectives.
  4. Market Development: Drive market expansion and demand planning to enhance Lafarge’s share and value.
  5. Customer Engagement: Foster relationships with distributors and retailers through regular field visits, loyalty programs, and problem-solving.
  6. Performance Tracking: Monitor sales volumes, prices, and margins while ensuring accurate demand forecasts.
  7. Market Intelligence: Gather and report competitive market insights to improve strategic planning.
  8. Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to business processes, CRM tools, ERP systems, and safety standards.
  9. Team Leadership: Provide guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to sales teams for optimal performance.
  10. HSE & Asset Management: Implement Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards and safeguard company assets within the territory.

What You’ll Bring

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: At least 8 years of commercial work experience, with 6 years in sales/marketing supervisory roles.
  • Skills:
    • Strong understanding of the cement industry and market dynamics.
    • Excellent sales planning, financial analysis, and business performance skills.
    • Proficiency in retail/distributor management and customer relationship management tools.
    • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
    • Ability to inspire and motivate teams while driving results.
