Job Overview
As a Production Technologist, you will play a pivotal role in the Hydrocarbon Maturation and Development process. Working as part of a matrix organization, you’ll contribute to meeting the world’s energy demands both now and in the future, by helping to deliver industry-leading returns across the hydrocarbon lifecycle. Your responsibilities will span from the field development phase through to production optimization, ensuring seamless integration with various disciplines and stakeholders. You will be working on projects related to drilling, completion, workover, plug & abandonment, decommissioning, and restoration activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the quality of production technology work, especially in relation to field development, drilling, and well intervention activities.
- Identify and develop short-term oil/gas generation opportunities, while ensuring compliance with well integrity and reservoir management.
- Implement well & reservoir management strategies to safeguard asset production potential and long-term recovery.
- Ensure the timely and integrated delivery of activities with Wells teams, Co-Venturers, Partners, and Regulators.
- Apply innovative production technologies and provide critical input during well completion, intervention, and workover activities.
- Lead the execution of well & reservoir surveillance, data interpretation, and production optimization initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Design Engineering Practices (DEP) and deliver accurate H2S predictions for new wells and well re-entry activities, including abandonment.
- Design and optimize completion strategies for development plans/wells and maintain integrated production system models for accurate production forecasting.
What We Need From You
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A University Degree in Engineering or a related field, with approximately 8-12 years of experience in the Integrated Gas & Upstream industry.
- Strong technical expertise in production technology, field development, wells & reservoir management, and risk management.
- Proficiency in technical computing and productivity tools specific to production technology.
- Excellent coordination and team-working skills, with experience in working within large, multi-disciplinary teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, particularly in liaising with Co-Venturers, Partners, and Regulators.
